Open source ecology

You could just as easily call this ‘open source technology’ or ‘democratic capitalism’ – build your own tractor in 6 days, build a wind turbine or create your own products with a 3D printer. This collaborative project aims to promote a greater distribution of the means of production – a DIY maker-culture that transcends artificial scarcity and moves away  from centralised large scale factory production  to small scale workshops that can be carried out in a garage.

This is an astonishing enterprise with radical implications for how we produce and consume our products.
