The local money multiplier: what is it and why it is so important?

Some of you may have seen this already, but for those that haven’t, take a few moments to look at this slideshow. It looks at the multiplier effect of money spent in the local economy and takes a real life example of B&B’s in the Tyne. It compares their contribution to the local economy to that of larger chain hotels.
